As we move into 2021, unfortunately we are still under tough restrictions due the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic. We would therefore like to highlight several schemes which are aimed at providing financial support to those businesses and individuals that require assistance.
Please CLICK HERE to view our summary of the schemes which are currently available, the specified deadline and a link which provides access to further information on each scheme.
Please note that there are a number of schemes (such as the Newly Self Employed Support Scheme) which had been due to close, however, following the announcement of further lockdown measures, the deadline for such applications have been extended.
We would like to draw your attention to the recently announced Limited Company Director’s Support Scheme which is aimed at providing financial assistance to directors who have been adversely affected by Coronavirus. This scheme opens for applications at 6pm on 21 January 2021.
Please note that each scheme is subject to its own eligibility criteria and deadline. Therefore, we would highly recommend that you take the time to review these in advance of making any applications. In particular, applications for the third Self Employment Support Scheme grant close on 29 January 2021.
Finally, last week the Supreme Court delivered its judgement on the landmark Business Interruption test case. The Supreme Court ruled in favour of small businesses receiving payments from their Business Interruption policies which means that many thousands of policyholders will now have their claims for coronavirus-related business interruption losses paid. This could provide a much-needed lifeline for many businesses at this difficult time. In Northern Ireland, it is expected that the courts will apply the same judgement to similar cases.
We hope this is of some help to you. However, if you have any queries or require any assistance during the application process, please do not hesitate to contact us on 02841764540 or forward an email to ku.oc.nniuqydrupnull@eciffo.
We thank you for your support and patience at this time.
